Ipads
All students in grades 1-9 are equipped with personalized Ipad
Since the Malaysian government decided to close schools nationwide on 16 March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, we immediately started homeschooling using the online learning platform Google Classroom.
During these difficult times, we are proud to be able to provide students with high-performance, high-quality teaching and the best learning opportunities despite school closure.
At DSKL, every student from grades 1 to 9 is provided with an iPad, which contains all important applications that the students need in order to follow their daily online lessons.
The success of our E-learning depends largely on careful planning by our dedicated staff, the motivation and engagement of students and also support from parents.
During normal school hours and following the current timetable, classes meet online in their classrooms. Google Meet is used for this purpose. This helps students establish a daily routine.
In addition, it is important to us that learning activities are varied and comparable to what is required in a regular classroom environment. Research, reflection, and critical thinking will continue to be encouraged. Many creative ideas and projects have already been implemented by the children, which keeps learning fun and adds enough variety to the students’ daily routine.
All assignments are distributed via Google Classroom. The assignments are done by the student and submitted back through Google Classroom. Then, the assignments are evaluated by the teacher and discussed in online lessons. In this way, teachers are always in close contact with their students and can achieve learning success despite physical absence and react quickly to deviations or problems.
During this time of uncertainty and challenges, it will also create new and innovative ways to connect and develop new skills.
