Music Education
We offer an extensive range of musical lessons right here at the school. For students of Years 1 to 4 lessons may be conducted during the ‘Support Program’ in the 4th session; students of Years 5 to 8 may have their music lessons in the 6th session, during lunch break or in the afternoon.
As part of the music education, we offer piano, violin, percussion, guitar, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, clarinet and transverse flute lessons. Advanced musicians have the opportunity to be accepted into our school orchestra, the ‘Sinfonietta’.
The ‘Sinfonietta’ performs annually under an orchestra exchange program with the German European School Singapore (GESS). Apart from various performances held during our school events, the Sinfonietta also engages in public performances. The orchestra embraces about 30 musicians engaged from Years 3 to 12.
