Higher Education & Career Advisory Service
We support our students in career guidance and university orientation in a variety of ways.
Having concrete ideas about their future lives, as well as an understanding of their own abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, enables students to make independent and well-informed decisions about their future.
To achieve this goal, information about vocational training opportunities and university studies is essential. In addition, students should gain their own practical experience in the working world. Therefore, we offer a range of activities, which are briefly presented below.
Our current guidance and preparation concept is based on four pillars:
– Individual counselling on university and career perspectives
– Company visits
– Practical experience in the workplace
– A wide range of informational materials
Individual counselling sessions are conducted with the support of the “Arbeitsamt” (Germany) in Years 11 and 12. Students in Years 10 and 11 take part in two different company excursions, where they learn about company workflows and professional fields. Students gain practical experience during the work experience placement in Year 9.
We maintain numerous contacts with German and international educational institutions, which regularly provide us with informational materials that are made available free of charge to students and parents.
