Work Experience Program
At DSKL, all Year 9 students are required to complete a two-week work experience placement. This internship usually takes place during the period of the oral Abitur examinations in May of the respective year.
The internship is prepared in German and English lessons. Finding a suitable company is the responsibility of the individual students and their parents. A list of companies where students from previous years have completed their work experience placement is available. This allows students to explore potential companies in various professional fields.
The preparation of application documents (cover letter, CV/résumé, application, etc.) is practiced in German and English classes.
During the internship, each student is visited by a subject teacher from their class. After completing the placement, every participant presents their experiences in an oral presentation.
