DSKL is a partial full-day school since 2008, offering educational programs up to 3.30 pm. All students of Years 3 – 9 are required to attend lessons full time on three days of the week, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Six lessons of 45 minutes each are conducted in the morning from 8 am to 1.20 pm, followed by a 40-minute lunch break. During recess, student will have time for ports and games or some reading in the school library before afternoon lessons commence at 2 pm. Regular teaching sessions end at 3.30 pm.
The majority of students are attending the extracurricular programs offered in the afternoon on Wednesdays and Fridays. All students of Years 1 to 12 may participate in the free extracurricular activities on a voluntary basis. Particularly athletes and musicians will often remain in school until 5 pm.
