Fifth parent’s letter in the school year 2008/09 (translated by class 11) Information of the GSSKL at the end
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Parents,
The most important information first: We have a new school board! The election of the new school board during yesterday’s annual meeting reappointed Frau von Stumm as president and Mr. Wessler as vice- president. Other than that, only Mrs. Mueller-Wenzel and Mr. Dr. Pasch stayed on the board. Everyone else has been newly elected or changed position.
In the name of the school I would like to thank Mr. Trumm, who has been the school treasurer and financial organiser of the DSKL for the past four years; Mr. Wyss who took the minutes and was and member of the staff committee; Mr. Rößler and Mr. Stögner, who were very active in the urban planning of the school extension. I wish all four of the members, who have invested a lot of time and hard work, farewell. They left the school well organized.
The members of the school board in detail:
Frau von Stumm, President Herr Wessler, Vice President Herr Stedtfeld, Treasurer Frau Schütz, responsible for minutes/secretary
Committee members: Herr Dörner, Herr Dr. Knirsch, Frau Müller-Wenzel, Herr Dr. Pasch, Herr Zuber.
A picture of the new school board has been posted on our homepage already

The students have also voted new student’s representatives and liaison teachers
Liaison teachers are Mrs. Ehrich-Bulow – she has been in this position for a longer period of time; new is Mr. Tan, our English speaking sports teacher.
I see this as a sign of internationalising, because with Mr. Tan there is an English speaking person students can turn to. His progress in the German language, however, is so fast that he will soon be able to be talked to in English and German.
Congratulations to both of the winners.
Student representatives are:
Catherine Steiner and Lisa Wiechert (class 12) Rembert Nass (class 7) Neele Roch (class 5) I wish them all the luck to fulfil their tasks.
From the 13th to the 16th October a linguistic contest in German took place in the Universiti Putra Malaysia. Mrs Jusuf and 7 of our students represented the German School at this event. Three of our students managed to win a gold trophy with their well formulated stories. Natasha Rajendram (class 7) won first place, the second place was won by Daniel Thoeny (class 7) and the third place was won by Nicola Lim (class 9). The students of the German department and students of our school had a lunch meeting where first contacts were made. A further exchange is desired and planned.
During the class trips from 28th to 31st October there are going to be a few changes:
